Short Description

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage our organization’s purchasing activities (with a focus on IT related procurement matters). The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services, maintain supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes to meet business needs.

 

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Customer Service

  • Provides procurement guidance and support to employees in all regions
  • Procurement systems end-user support and training as well as other procurement trainings
  • Ensure decentralized organisation activities remain compliant wit the AO Policies and Guidelines

 

Category Management

  • Develops strategic purchasing plans that align with business objectives, for own area of responsibility
  • Manages contracts for own area of responsibility and coordinate changes with stakeholders (requester, legal..)
  • Ensures delivery performance in accordance with the order instructions and ensures an efficient service is provided to the end user

 

Analytics and Continuous Improvement

  • Tracks spending and conducts procurement analyses on markets, products and suppliers for assigned categories
  • Analyzes and monitors data related to key suppliers, purchasing activities and volumes and proposes appropriate actions
  • Develops and conducts regular reporting to oversee procurement activities 

 

Operational Procurement

  • Processes purchase requests and orders as well as invoices
  • S2P (Sourcing2Pay): support the organization in new vendor sourcing (RfQ/RfP), negotiating, ordering and invoice verification in SAP ByD, whichever is applicable
  • Maintains and ensures correctness of contract master data, product master data and catalogues
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert and system administrator for the Procurement systems maintenance

 

 

Main Requirements

 

  • BSc or specialized certification in supply and procurement
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in either procurement, supply chain/logistics management systems, analytics.
  • Experience in IT procurement will be an advantage
  • Proven track record in operating in a global business environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate well with others and work cross-functionally across the organization
  • Strive for excellence and strong motivation to continuously add value to AO Business
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks, excellence in multi-tasking and problem solving
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, structured way of working
  • Excellent communication, partnering and advocating skills, ability to communicate with both Procurement and non-Procurement audiences
  • Expertise in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (preferably SAP ByD)
  • Fluency in English, German will be considered as an added value
  • We are flexible in regards to the workload requirements between 70-100%
