For the position of Head of IT Applications, we are looking for an experienced and passionate leader to take on global responsibility for our IT Application Team. In this role, you will drive the strategic evolution of our application landscape, actively shape digital transformation initiatives, and ensure that our systems and applications are perfectly aligned with the business needs.
What You’ll Do
Lead the global IT Application Team with a focus on coaching, motivation, and fostering an open, performance-oriented culture.
Own the budget and strategic development of the entire application landscape in alignment with business and IT goals.
Contribute as a member of the global IT Leadership Team to shaping the OneIT vision and driving the company’s digital transformation.
Manage and continuously develop the application portfolio – including SAP S/4HANA, MS Dynamics CRM, e-commerce solutions, BI/Analytics, and other business-critical applications.
Ensure global standardization and optimization of the application landscape to reduce complexity and costs.
Build strong relationships with business functions and support the establishment of process owners and key-user structures.
Drive digital innovation and automation initiatives, leveraging new technologies.
Manage external partners and service providers while ensuring governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
Who You Are
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field – ideally at Master’s level.
Several years of leadership experience in application management, with a passion for developing and inspiring teams.
Strong expertise in managing and enhancing SAP core applications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), along with experience in other business applications.
Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented working style.
Experience in an international environment, ideally in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
Proficient in project management methodologies (both traditional and agile) and IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL).
Solid process understanding and a strong affinity for data and process optimization.
Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with an open and collaborative attitude.
