Blick is one of Switzerland’s most-read media brands. Our Android app is a key part of our digital ecosystem, providing users with fast, reliable, and engaging news experiences.

Join our dynamic and diverse team as a Senior Android Engineer and contribute to shaping the architecture of our applications. We seek a motivated and committed engineer to join our expanding team by May 1, 2025, or by arrangement.

Your tasks

  • You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications.
  • You will implement new features and optimize performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
  • You will stay up to date with the latest Android development trends and contribute to improving our development processes.

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and have 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • You have strong programming skills in Kotlin, a solid understanding of the Android SDK, and expertise in MVVM architecture.
  • You have worked on large-scale applications and you are familiar with modular app architecture.
  • You are proficient in Git and version control workflows.
  • You have experience with testing and mocking frameworks.
  • You are fluent in English, and proficiency in German is a plus.

Recruiting process

  • If your profile matches, the process can be swift, as we aim to finalize the contract within a short timeframe.
  • After reviewing your documents, we will schedule an initial phone call to clarify details and arrange the next steps.
  • Next, you’ll have a video call where we’ll get to know each other and discuss some technical questions (approximately 45 to 60 minutes).
  • This will be followed by a second technical interview, where you’ll work on an assignment (duration: 2 hours).
  • After that, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the team on-site.
  • Finally, if everything goes well, we will extend a contract offer.
