Getting started for candidates
Welcome to JobMarkt24! This guide shows you how to set up your account, build a convincing profile and send your first application. All steps together take about 20 minutes.
1. Create an account
Click "Sign up" in the top right corner and choose the "Candidate" role. You can register with your email address and a password. If you register by email you will receive a confirmation link – your account is only active once you have clicked it.
JobMarkt24 is completely free for candidates.
2. Complete your profile
After your first login you land in your dashboard. Open the "Profile" section and fill in the key details. Your profile is used for AI matching: the more complete it is, the more accurate the job recommendations and the match score for individual jobs.
- Personal details and place of residence
- Work experience with period, position and responsibilities
- Education and certificates
- Skills, languages and preferred work location
3. Build your CV in the CV builder
Every application needs a CV. The easiest way is the CV builder: click "Import profile data" and your details are placed into a template automatically. Arrange the sections with drag and drop, pick a design and save the CV.
Already have a finished CV? Upload it as a PDF under "My CVs". Both options can be selected for any application.
4. Search for jobs
You will find the job search under "Jobs". Combine the search field with filters for location and radius, job type, work model (on-site, hybrid, remote) and experience level. When you are signed in, every job card shows a match score indicating how well the job fits your profile.
Save interesting jobs with the bookmark icon. You will find them later in your dashboard under "Saved jobs".
5. Send your application
On a job page, click "Apply now". Select the appropriate CV and optionally add a short cover letter that addresses this specific job. Check everything carefully, because only one application per job is possible. After submitting you receive a confirmation by email.
6. Job alerts and application status
To make sure you never miss a suitable job, set up a search agent under "Job alerts". Define keywords, location and filters and choose whether you want to be notified instantly, daily or weekly.
You can check the status of your applications at any time under "My applications". As soon as an employer changes the status or invites you to an interview, you are notified.
Tip
Enable AI matching in your job alerts. New jobs are then evaluated against your entire CV – you will also receive suggestions that a pure keyword search would miss.
